What we achieved in 2025

This year we have received help from right across our community, but especially from The Saunders, who have hosted our monthly committee meetings and a successful Summer fundraising Ball.

Bedworth Belles created a wonderful poppy curtain that has now been installed on the tower of All Saints Church. A big thank you for help in putting this up goes to Stephanie Morris, Stuart Morris, Murray Richards, Tom Hale, Mike Tustin, John Burwood, Jim Brown, Stewart Treadwell, Martin Hellwig and Lisa Willis.

A special mention for Chris Coventry who installed the commemorative benches (funded by NBBC) and accompanying silhouettes (funded by WCC) as well as the special bolts to secure the poppy curtain (funded by HILTI) . Bracing for the silhouettes was kindly done by Star Engineering of Bayton Road.

Our printers, Proteus print are always helpful with technical advise and swift delivery.

Our programmes are printed via Darren Lyall, what more could we ask?

When increased security concerns prompted the insistence on concrete road blocks, Stuart Duffus of Balfour Beatty stepped in to help deliver the blocks and NBBC have offered storage, so next year- we can do it again.

Our regular donors have yet again supported us, Hacketts, Stuart Plumbing, Konig and all the pubs and clubs who enable our collection boxes to be filled by our local community. Bedworth Ex Service Club, The Liberal Club, The Conservative Club and Jacks all provide hospitality, as does the Cricket Club, whilst the Rugby Club provides programme sellers on Armistice Day and Bedworth United helps our security detail to park and is working with us on branded football shirts.

The Harbour Centre has stepped forwards with an innovation- refreshments for the veterans before the muster – where they muster – great idea.

Tesco have donated teas, coffees, chocolate and biscuits as well as allowing regular collections in store. Tesco also sponsored the banners which have now been put up for the Parade.

It is impossible to mention everyone who has helped during the year. Our costs are increasing and we have to raise up to £25000 to maintain the legacy:

Bedworth – The Town that never forgets.

We thank you all.
