Tuesday 11th November – For what looked like it was going to be a very wet day, turned out to be dry, warmish, and a very sucessful day. Once again the people of Bedworth and friends from far and near turned out to pay their respects to those who are sadly not with us, but not forgotten, In “The Town That Never Forgets”.
Among the many dignitaries and friends this year was The Bishop of Coventry, the Right Reverend Sophie Jelley, who did the address at the Memorial service. The poem “The Crossess” by Bill Mitton was read by local school Children. The Act of Commitment was lead by pupils of Nicholas Chamberlaine School.
