In light of recent tragedies where fast-moving vehicles have been driven into crowds – including incidents in Liverpool, Mainz. Nice – The Bedworth Armistice Committee, following professional advice, has resolved to implement enhanced crowd protection for the 2025 Parade and Service on Tuesday 11th November.
While the cost of these measures is substantial, we are deeply grateful to Balfour Beatty, who have generously agreed to install and remove the necessary road barriers. This vital support enables us to prioritise public safety without compromising the dignity of the event.
To facilitate these protections, road closures may begin earlier than usual, from 09:30am. We appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation as we take these steps to safeguard all attendees.
Safety is paramount. We will continue to assess what may be needed as a more permanent solution in future years.
